Children & Adolescents
We conduct comprehensive assessments, utilizing several modalities, in order to gather important diagnostic criteria from three critical sources - parent, school, and child. There are many diagnostic possibilities that can look like ADD/ADHD. Our assessment seeks to "tease out" the nuances of the client's situation in order to arrive at the most accurate diagnosis possible.

College Students & Other Adults
For adults who suspect they have ADHD, our assessment includes ADHD assessment instruments, structured interviews, a Neuro-cognitive test battery, and, when available, feedback from significant family members.

We believe in reaching out to our community through our educational programs. Dr. Allen presents the nationally acclaimed Smart DisciplineTM Program as well as other programs for schools, churches, businesses, and other organizations.

Smart Discipline™
Smart Discipline™ is the nationally acclaimed parenting program that provides the first truly effective system of discipline that improves
negative attitudes and gains cooperation. Smart Discipline™ is concise, easy to follow, and to the point. Dr. Allen offers this 90 minute parenting program to local schools and churches. We also strongly recommend it to parents of every child we evaluate. PTA Programs
Dr. Allen is available to speak at a limited number PTA programs. He presents on a number of topics of interest to parents and teachers.

We offer a wide range of counseling services for our clientele. For clients with an ADHD diagnosis research indicates that as high as 40-50% may have another emotional/behavioral condition. Also, many children and adults referred for ADD/ADHD evaluations are diagnosed with some other condition. Hence, we provide counseling services for many different presenting problems, including:

In many cases where ADD/ADHD or some other co-morbid condition such as depression or anxiety disorder is diagnosed, medication management may be warranted. In this case, we can consult with your Family Physician or Pediatrician. He/She can prescribe and provide medical management for your condition as warranted. Medication may not be warranted in all cases or for all clients, but when it is, we strive to integrate it into our comprehensive approach to management and treatment.

Phone consultation sessions are billed in 15 minute increments. Please call for current rates.

Phone coaching sessions are typically 30 minutes in length. It is customary to pay in advance with a credit/debit card for four (4) sessions. Please call for more information and current rates.
